Restrict author for any specific category

The easiest way to restrict an author for a specific category is to use a plugin. There are some plugins available that provide you the features to restrict authors for any specific category. Here in this tutorial, we are using the Restricted Authors WordPress plugin.

First, install and activate the plugin and then go to Users > All Users. From this page, you can see all of the users to restrict any user click on the edit option of that user.

Here you can see the user’s profile. Scroll down to the bottom and look for the category section.

Here you can select the category for the users to restrict. The users will not be able to access that selected category.

Don’t forget to click on the update user button.

Now if the author go to the content editor then he will not be able to see the selected category.
