Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced WordPress Theme Developer to join our team at Themerox. As a WordPress Theme Developer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining high-performance, custom WordPress themes and plugins. You will work closely with our design, development, and product teams to create cutting-edge solutions for our clients, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience across all devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & Maintain Themes: Design, develop, and implement custom WordPress themes based on client requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate on Design: Work closely with our UI/UX designers to translate designs into functional, responsive themes.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize WordPress websites for performance, security, and scalability.
- Plugin Development: Develop and integrate custom plugins as needed, ensuring compatibility with existing themes.
- Cross-Device Compatibility: Ensure that themes are responsive and look great on all devices, from mobile phones to desktop computers.
- Code Quality & Documentation: Write clean, maintainable code and ensure all work is properly documented.
- Stay Current: Keep up to date with WordPress trends, new features, and emerging technologies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in Front-End Technologies: Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Back-End Development: Expertise in PHP, MySQL, and WordPress core functions.
- Theme Development: Proven track record of developing custom WordPress themes, including experience with template files, hooks, and APIs.
- Responsive Design: Expertise in creating fully responsive websites that work across all devices.
- Version Control: Experience with Git and version control systems for collaboration.
- SEO Best Practices: Familiarity with SEO best practices to ensure fast, optimized, and search engine-friendly themes.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues, debug, and find solutions to technical challenges.
- Experience with Popular Page Builders: Familiarity with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or similar.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with WooCommerce and building e-commerce solutions.
- Knowledge of modern build tools like Sass, Gulp, or Webpack.
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and other custom field plugins.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating third-party services into WordPress.
